Dr. William Adams first established his Santa Cruz ophthalmology practice more than twenty-five years ago, watching it grow into one of the premier practices in area.  Dr. Hsei then joined the practice in 2000 providing expertise in advanced cataract and laser vision surgery.  More recently, we have welcomed Dr. Cheng to our practice as the only fellowship trained corneal specialist in the county.  Working together, we have continued Dr. Adam's legacy by blending experience and the latest advances in training to provide complete eye care services to our community.

Our ophthalmology practice offers the most current and innovative services including new FDA approved New Technology intraocular lenses, advanced Laser Vision Correction utilizing wavefront technology and the VISX Excimer Laser, and conductive keratoplasty using radiofrequency to treat “near vision.”  All the doctors perform small incision stitch-less cataract surgery with the lastest technology enhanced phacoemulsification.  The practice also offers the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment including computerized perimetry and scanning laser imaging of the optic nerve for glaucoma, IOL Master laser interference biometry for accurate measurements before cataract surgery, and optical imaging of the retina.  All of these services are conveniently located at our facility and surgeries are performed at our own outpatient surgery center.
